Refund Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

1. Overview

MediOne subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for your purchase. Paddle handles billing, payment processing, refunds, tax, and invoicing on our behalf.

This Refund Policy explains when you may be eligible for a refund and how to request one. It is aligned with Paddle's Refund Policy and Paddle Buyer Terms. If applicable consumer protection laws grant you additional or non-waivable rights, those rights apply and are not limited by this policy.

2. 14-Day Refund Window

You may be eligible for a refund if you submit a refund request within 14 calendar days of the date of the transaction.

This 14-day window applies in line with Paddle's standard buyer protections, including:

  • Initial purchases: requests must be made within 14 days of the transaction date.
  • Subscriptions: statutory withdrawal rights may apply to the first payment under a subscription contract, and in certain regions to specific renewal payments, as described in Paddle's country-specific rules.
  • Free trials: if your subscription includes a free trial, a new 14-day withdrawal period may begin when the paid subscription starts, as set out in Paddle's policies.

Refund requests submitted within the applicable 14-day period are reviewed by Paddle in accordance with its Buyer Terms. Approval is not automatic; Paddle may approve, partially approve, or decline a request based on the nature of the product, the reason for the request, and usage of the service.

If a refund is approved, it will generally be processed to your original payment method within 14 days of approval. Access to MediOne for the refunded period will cease once the refund is issued.

After the applicable 14-day period, transactions are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Paddle grants a discretionary refund under its policies.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or exercise a withdrawal right, contact Paddle using one of the following methods:

  • Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your Paddle checkout confirmation email
  • Visit Paddle Buyer Support and select the refund request option
  • Use the support link on your Paddle receipt or subscription billing page

Paddle's transaction records are used to verify eligibility and timing. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact Paddle support and they will assist you.

4. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation and refund are different:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until that date.
  • Canceling does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current or prior billing periods, except as described in Section 2 or as required by applicable law.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may be declined where:

  • The request is made outside the applicable refund or withdrawal window
  • There is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or manipulative behaviour
  • Applicable law permits waiver of withdrawal rights and you have given express consent after digital content or services have begun to be used
  • Paddle determines the request does not meet its refund criteria

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, unused time, or plan downgrades outside the scopes described above.

6. Technical or Product Issues

If you experience persistent technical problems that prevent you from using MediOne as described:

  1. Contact us at info@medione.cr so we can try to resolve the issue
  2. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Paddle support (Section 3) with details of the problem and any response from us

Where there is evidence of a material defect, a refund may be issued in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and Paddle's policies.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact Paddle before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. Access to MediOne may be temporarily suspended while a dispute is reviewed.
